TSA explains the right way to travel with a gun

TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) -- Transportation Security Administration representatives say they're seeing an uptick in people incorrectly packing their guns for travel. Travelers are not supposed to bring guns to the TSA security checkpoint. However, officials are seeing more people doing just that. When traveling with a firearm, passengers have to take certain precautions. "When you're traveling with a firearm, the most important thing you need to do is you need to make sure it's completely unloaded," he said. That means no magazines or rounds chambered. AUSTIN (KXAN) – The Austin Fire Department said Tuesday afternoon that crews responded to a “large” gas leak at 23rd Street and San Gabriel Street in West Campus. AFD said in an X post that the AFD Special Operations units are on the scene with Texas Gas to stop the leak. At least five people were taken to the hospital after a collision between an Amtrak train and a semi-truck in Ventura County Tuesday evening that blocked traffic and led to the suspension of train service overnight. The collision occurred in Somis, an unincorporated area of Ventura County, at around 6:20 p.m. on State Route 118 at Sand Canyon Road, according to a post on X, formerly Twitter, by the California Highway Patrol. Video of the crash scene obtained by KTLA showed a large response by Ventura County Firefighters who responded to the scene to help passengers safely off the train and triage those injured.
